WBM Foundation conducted a Plantation Drive in Lahore Grammar School( LGS) Paragon City, Burki Road, Lahore Cantt on 1st March 2022 at theme No more smog. The plantation is in need of an hour today for this country to tackle the bad effects of pollution and discourage deforestation and promote afforestation. 

The highlights of this event are that the WBM Foundation with the collaboration of the Forest department spread awareness regarding plantation importance and planted 200 plants on the premises of the school.

Objectives

WBM Foundation’s main objective is to give better health to the people, Environment Awareness to the public and students. The theme for the day was No more smog and Plantation. Taking a breath in the healthy air is the right of every human being. But in the race of industrialization, polluting the environment makes it harmful for life. Creating clouds of harmful gasses. Considering this scenario WBM foundation is working to protect the environment, So, it is necessary for us to protect our environment, planting more to absorb more harmful gasses to make the air clean ad say no more smog on winter days.

Speeches

Two guest speakers gave a speech on the importance of plantations and the benefits of forests and appreciated the PM initiative of the Ten billion Tree Tsunami Project.

• In his speech, emphasis is on the work to make the environment pollution-free. Describe to the students about smog destruction in our country or world and thanks to WBM and Punjab Forest for arranging plantation drive.
• Ahmad Raza : Mr. Ahmad Raza through his speech spread awareness regarding the importance of planting plants to save mother earth and thanks to planting plants in premisses of school.

Speeches: 

WBM Foundation Environmentalist Miss Fazila and Miss Zahida Aleem briefed the students of the school on the role of the WBM Foundation and how important it for students is to protect the Environment, Effects of Smog, climate, and the importance of plantation and forests which have a positive and healthy effect on the environment and students.

The plantation drive was successfully organized at the premises of Lahore Grammar School( LGS) Paragon City, Burki Road, Lahore Cantt by WBM with the collaboration of the Punjab Forest Department. It would be fruitful for the students as it will change the environment of the society by making it fresher and green which will have a positive and healthy effect on the environment.
